Summer Fishing Derby

Up for some friendly competition? Fish for salmon, perch, trout, pickerel, and bass on Pleasant Pond and Mattawamkeag Lake. Both adults and children compete in their divisions for merchandise and cash prizes.

Come be a part of a wonderful week of exciting events
in Island Falls, Maine. Starting with the amazing fireworks
at VaJoWa golf course, the week kicks off with a bang.
Enjoy our annual road race, pie contest, parade, and many more fun activities for the whole family.
Canoe/Kayak Race

canoe/kayak race! All proceeds from this
fun event goes to our college scholarship fund.
Paddle around Pleasant Pond while helping a local
high school student fund their college dreams.
Registration is at 1:00pm at Birch Point Campground.
Lobster and Steak Dinner

Join us for our annual Lobster and Steak Dinner at the
Island Falls Snowmobile Club on Route 2. Enjoy a delicious
meal and get connected with the community, have fun
bidding on auction items, and listen in on our annual
IFlakes meeting. All are welcome! Doors open at 5:00pm.

Paddle on Mattawamkeag
Saturday, August 14, 2021
Join us for a fun day of kayaking and canoeing on Mattawamkeag Lake. Enjoy the beauty and explore the untouched nature of this spectacular lake. We will meet at
9:45am at VaJoWa Golf Course to then head to the lake. We willl paddle to the IFLA private islands, and tour around. Following the adventure on the water, we will have a picnic at the Fish and Game club. Contact us to make reservations.
Water Monitors Needed
IFLakes Association monitors water quality to detect areas of concern. Volunteer to be a trained water monitor at one of the training sessions at The Volunteer Lakes Monitoring Program in Auburn, Maine.
